Toby's Book Bench Begins

We have all read a politically oriented book that we would like to share with others. Please send a short review to info at dfamc dot com so we can post your submissions. To kick things off:

Susan Ackley says:

I got the Shock Doctrine for Christmas and think everyone should read it, and The Secret History of the American Empire….and Lies My Teacher Told Me…………

Toby Stahl says:

I read Cracking the Code by Thom Hartmann and found it very interesting but I don’t know how well I can apply any of it. Another is Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast. So far I have read chapters from this book.

Catherine Miller says:

I’m about halfway into “The Political Brain” by Drew Westen and find it very informative on presenting the Democratic message. It is a must read for candidates and anyone who is seeking a persuasive voice when speaking on the issues. The focus is on the role of emotion and is corollary to framing.
